Adebimpe Daniels is the name of the lady who came out top in the Rutgers University, Newark, New Jersey, 2017 graduating set.

Little is known of her biography so far but according to The 2017 Valedictory Speech which was delivered by her, we know that she is a wife, a mother, who grew up in Lagos Nigeria. She posted the full text of her speech on her LinkedIn page.

According to the same speech, she said, “I was born into the adventure of uncertainty and the grandeur of unrealistic aspirations of a low-income home in a gender-biased society. Although my father knew the importance of education, he could not afford to give all his children equal educational opportunity. My education was put on hold for my brother’s, while I searched for alternative means of survival”. I persisted!  She said. She was awarded scholarship by her community.

She made a remarkable statement in that same speech, she said, “don’t just stand to be counted but stand to be heard”.

She hit First Class in Information System, and was the overall best in the University’s 2017 graduating set.

Kudos sister!
